beIN Media Group is a leading global entertainment network dedicated to sports and entertainment content across multiple platforms. As part of the Global Digital Team, we are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance our data-driven decision-making processes. We seeking a skilled Lead Data Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform, Looker, BigQuery, ETL Processes and Google Analytics to join our dynamic team. As a Lead Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of our Data Infrastructure, supporting Global Digital Team efforts in activating data-driven insights.

2. Responsabilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of efficient, reusable, and reliable aggregate databases and data lakes to support business analytics and reporting needs.

• Design, deploy, and optimize data processing workflows using Google Cloud Platform services, particularly BigQuery, to support scalable and cost-effective data storage and analysis solutions.

• Architect and implement ETL pipelines using SQL, Python Scripts from diverse data sources including website data, social media and third-party APIs, ensuring data integrity and performance.

• Translate business Key Performance Indicators into detailed data field requirements, ensuring that KPIs are accurately calculated and measured within the data infrastructure.

• Implement and manage Google Analytics, GTM integration to track and analyze user behavior and engagement across digital platforms, leveraging insights to enhance data-driven decision-making processes.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate Looker into the data infrastructure, developing and optimizing data models and dashboards to provide intuitive and actionable insights for end-users.

• Collaborate with various internal and external teams to define data requirements, interfaces, and implementation strategies, fostering alignment with business objectives.

• Provide expert troubleshooting support and resolve platform bugs efficiently across multiple platforms.

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily scrum meetings, sprint planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure the successful delivery of features and enhancements.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Agile framework, contributing to the optimization of development processes and workflows.

1. Who are you?

👌 Experience:

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering or related roles, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering scalable and reliable data solutions.

🧠 Profesionnal skills:

• Proven experience building enterprise-level SaaS platforms, with a focus on data infrastructure and analytics.

• Experience in web scraping, building public-facing APIs, SQL, Phyton facilitating seamless integration with external systems and applications.

• Experience with building semantic layers and data models to provide structured, business-friendly views of data within cloud environments, enabling self-service analytics capabilities

• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with reporting, analytics, and visualization tools, including Looker and Tableau.

• Familiarity with digital marketing concepts and tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads Manager, and other relevant platforms, to understand and analyze marketing performance data.
